Has SPINX actually been lab tested?
Yes. The patented nanotechnology in SPINX — the same material we're licensed to use — was independently tested by SGS, one of the largest testing and certification labs in the world. The results are summarized above, with each test method named.
Does it contain PFAS or "forever chemicals"?
No. SPINX is a water-based formula with no PFAS, no phthalates, and no added fragrance. Independent testing returned not-detected results for heavy metals and formaldehyde.
I looked up titanium dioxide and saw a health warning — should I be concerned?
No, and here it is in full so you can judge for yourself. International agencies classify titanium dioxide as a possible carcinogen based on breathing in large amounts of dry powder in industrial workplaces — factory air, over years. That classification doesn't apply here. In SPINX it is suspended in water at under half a percent and never exists as a dry powder you could inhale. It is the same mineral used in mineral sunscreen. Is it safe to use indoors and in my bag?
Yes. At a tested 8 g/L, VOC content is a fraction of the 100 g/L regulatory limit, so very little off-gasses as it dries. It's water- and heat-resistant once cured, so it travels in a closed bag without an issue.
Will it damage my carbon fiber or composite paddle?
No. Unlike erasers and solvents, SPINX is non-abrasive and engineered for composite paddle faces. It cleans and protects the surface rather than wearing it down.
What we don't claim.
SPINX cleans and protects. That's it. We don't claim it adds spin, restores worn grit, or improves how you play.
Nothing brings back texture that has already worn away — which is why the best paddle to start on is a new one, and why a used paddle gets a pre-clean first.
